Five main points of mold injection

1. Material drying temperature.

The material will absorb moisture in the environment during production and storage. If the material is not dried, it will cause hydrolysis of the material during the injection molding process, which will affect the quality of the product. So choosing the right temperature to fully dry the material is an important prerequisite for obtaining high-quality injection products.

2. Material use temperature

The use temperature of the material is also an important link. The use temperature of different injection molding materials is inconsistent, and the use of different temperatures also has a difference in the fluidity of the material. This is due to the difference in the average molecular weight and molecular weight distribution of the material. It is best to make reference settings in accordance with the material property data provided by the material manufacturer.

3. Mold temperature

Mold surface temperature is a major factor in injection molding. It has a significant impact on the appearance and size of the product. In the first mold trial, use it according to the mold temperature suitable for different raw materials, and then maintain the same mold temperature to improve the mold problems. Otherwise, the shrinkage ratio of the material at different temperatures will be different, leading to more corrections.

4. Mold clamping force

The clamping force refers to the clamping force exerted by the injection molding machine on the mold. When the molten raw material is injected into the interior of the mold cavity under high pressure, an expansion force will be generated to ensure that the mold is not opened by enough clamping force.

5. Mold cooling time

The cooling time in the injection molding process affects the quality of the product and the cycle of forming use, and the selection of the appropriate cooling time directly affects the manufacturing cost of the product.
